Unfortunately it had not been well looked after when we bought it. Diamond Paining has done an excellent job of sanding and then maintaining, painting and staining the exterior. I first met Eric, owner/operator of Diamond Painting Whistler, while admiring some recent exterior paintwork in our neighbourhood. Eric explained briefly how he had restored the natural wood finishes in these homes to make them truly stand out. I invited him to provide a quote on extensive work on my home, which needed similar restoration to log finishes, which included full repaint on 3 sides of the house, cleaning and re-staining of all soffits, a restoration of a badly faded and damaged garage door, exterior railings as well as other features. Eric produced a very comprehensive invoice which clearly laid out the expectations of the project.

The project took place in the fall, which required extensive use of covering to protect the surfaces being worked on. Eric takes no shortcuts here, every window, deck, and item not to be painted is carefully masked to prevent overspill. Even though we experienced some incredibly challenging weather conditions, he was able to keep the project within the stated time frame.

Throughout the process Eric communicated frequently as to how the project was proceeding, as well as keeping me informed on any issues as they arose and best options to obtain the desired solution. He is also a “painting guru”, in which his years of experience will illuminate you on all the subtle factors that wood, sanding, and the right applied coating will yield the best result. His attention to detail is impressive and it clearly shows the pride he takes in the work he does.

We are extremely satisfied with the end product, and are confident we now have many years of a beautiful maintenance free finish on our home. I’m happy to give Eric and Diamond Painting Whistler a full five star recommendation.

We were very pleased with the work Eric did in our townhouse living areas. His preparation was thorough with carefully protected carpets and furniture, light fixtures etc. His attention to detail while painting, making sure to do enough coats and finishing the baseboards was great. His help with finalizing the colour (there are so many whites) was most appreciated. While it did take a few days more than we anticipated we have no hesitation in recommending Diamond Painting for interior projects.
